These Terms govern your access to and use of Codelit.io. By using the service, creating an account, starting a trial, or purchasing Pro, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
Codelit.io is an architecture-first development platform for generating, editing, reviewing, exporting, and sharing software architecture diagrams and related project scaffolds. Some features use AI models, third-party integrations, and external providers.
Codelit is a design and productivity tool. It is not legal, security, compliance, financial, or professional engineering advice. You are responsible for reviewing outputs before relying on them or deploying anything to production.
You may use some features without an account. Signing in unlocks saved sessions and additional limits. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account, connected services, API keys, and devices, and for all activity under your account.
The Free plan has usage limits and may change over time. The Pro plan unlocks additional usage and features described on the Pricing page, subject to availability, model-provider limits, and fair-use protections.
Pricing and feature descriptions on the Pricing page are part of these Terms. If there is a conflict between marketing copy and the checkout screen, the Stripe checkout screen controls the price, billing interval, trial, tax, and payment details for that purchase.
Pro is currently $5 per month, billed monthly in U.S. dollars through Stripe. Unless you cancel, your subscription automatically renews each month and Stripe charges your payment method on a recurring monthly basis.
If a 7-day free trial is offered at checkout, you will not be charged during the trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the subscription will convert to a paid monthly Pro subscription at the price shown at checkout.
You can cancel online at any time from the Pricing page or Settings by opening the Stripe customer portal. You may also contact us at mo@codelit.io if you cannot access the portal. After cancellation, paid Pro access generally continues until the end of the current billing period unless Stripe shows that cancellation is immediate.
We do not provide prorated refunds or credits for partial billing periods unless required by law or expressly stated by Stripe at checkout. Taxes may apply and will be shown by Stripe when applicable. We may change pricing or subscription features with reasonable advance notice where required.
Payments, invoices, subscription management, and stored payment methods are handled by Stripe. By starting checkout or managing a subscription, you may also be agreeing to Stripe's applicable terms and privacy policy. Codelit does not store full payment card numbers.
You retain ownership of prompts, diagrams, boards, files, exports, comments, and other content you submit or create in Codelit. You give Codelit permission to host, process, display, transmit, and modify your content as needed to provide the service, including saving sessions, generating outputs, creating exports, and operating integrations you authorize.
Shared links are public to anyone with the link. Do not submit or share secrets, credentials, regulated data, confidential business information, or third-party content unless you have the rights and permissions to do so.
AI-generated outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, insecure, outdated, or unsuitable for your specific use case. You are responsible for validating architecture decisions, infrastructure code, compliance reports, security audits, vulnerability scans, cost estimates, and generated project files before use.
Codelit does not guarantee that any generated output is production-ready, compliant with a particular framework, free of vulnerabilities, or fit for a particular purpose.
If you provide your own API keys or connect services such as GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Jira, Linear, Notion, Figma, Slack, or Vercel, you authorize Codelit to use those credentials only to perform the actions you request. You are responsible for your third-party accounts, provider charges, provider terms, permissions, and rate limits.
You must not connect an account, repository, workspace, file, or service unless you have authority to access and process that data through Codelit.
You agree not to:
Codelit may change, suspend, rate-limit, or discontinue features, models, integrations, plan limits, or exports. AI providers and integrations may be unavailable, change their APIs, change model names, impose rate limits, or reject requests. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
You may stop using Codelit at any time. You may delete your account and associated Codelit data from Settings where available, or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk for Codelit or others, fail to pay, or use the service abusively.
Codelit is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, security, and error-free operation.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Codelit and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, security incidents caused by your misuse, third-party provider failures, or production decisions made from generated outputs.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid to Codelit in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim, or $100 if you used only the Free plan.
We may update these Terms as the service changes. Material updates will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
